Don Mathis's Bio:
Don Mathis is passionate about Kinetic Social, where he is the CEO and Co-Founder. "My drive is to build Kinetic into something of distinction," he says, "a company where our team thrives, our technology innovation is ahead of the curve, and our clients are excited and rewarded by our offerings."
Kinetic Social was launched in 2011, has raised a series A & B rounds, and is a clear leader in the social media marketing industry today. Kinetic is the third start-up / early stage venture Don Mathis has helped develop in the digital media arena.
In addition to his work at Kinetic, Don provides cybersecurity consulting services, with a specialty in cyber fraud detection and forensic analysis, to law enforcement agencies and private firms.
Don's experience includes service with the US Navy, holding qualifications in expeditionary combat logistics and anti-terrorism, and where he began his career as a P-3 anti-submarine patrol squadron Flight Communications Officer (Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information [TS/SCI] security clearance held).
Don is a member of the Harvard Entrepreneurship Center “Rock 100” NY Council, and YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization). He has served on the not-for-profit boards of the educational organization Roads To Success, the non-partisan public policy group Third Millennium, and the documentary film company Magellan Productions. He has also served on the boards of private companies Unified Social, Affinity Labs and Mystic Entertainment Corporation.
Don Mathis graduated with honors from Harvard Business School and Vassar College, where he was awarded the S. H. Chen Zen prize for best written thesis. He holds a Commercial Pilot's license with multi-engine and instrument ratings.

Don Mathis serves as a Naval Officer on both active and reserve duty. He has had reserve tours as Commanding Officer and Executive Officer of highly deployable, selectively staffed, joint-service DLA combat logistics units in support of forward deployed war-fighters, and service with the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command. Don was mobilized immediately after 9/11 for active duty at Ground Zero on a Search & Recovery team, and as the Executive Officer of an anti-terrorism joint task force in the New York City area (Operation Noble Eagle). He was also deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom to the Middle East as Deputy Group Commander for three Navy expeditionary combat air logistics units mobilized to Central Command. Don was deployed again to stand-up a Forward Logistics Site in theater during the opening phases of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Don Mathis was began his Navy career as a P-3 anti-submarine patrol squadron Flight Communications Officer. He served with the United Nations in Cambodia and in Bosnia.
